VOLUME:

The space occupied by an object solid body is called the volume of the particular object solid body volume is always measured in cubic unit.

==========================================================

Solution:

Given, length of cuboidal pit (l) = 8 m

and breadth (b) = 6 m

and depth (h) = 3 m

Volume of cuboidal pit= l×b×h

= 8×6×3= 144 m³

Cost of digging 1 m³=₹30 (given)

Cost of digging 144 m³ cuboidal pit= 30× 144

= ₹4320

Hence, cost of digging a cuboidal pit is ₹ 4320.
