How many lines can pass through -
(a) one given point?
(a) If we try to imagine a point in plane and pass a point through it , we can pass many lines coming from different direction and there's no end to it. From a point on a plane , we can pass infinitely many lines

(b) Two given points?
(b) For two given points, we can't say so that in case of one given point , Because here due to two points the line must pass from between the two points in a straight line. Which means that only one line can pass through two given points.

Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
a) for a straight line y =mx + c
Now u can put any point with coordinate (x ,y) .This will get satisfied hence infinite no . Of lines can be drawn passing through this point.
(b) There can be only one line which may pass with two given coordinate points. As two different lines can not pass through given two points with different slope . As there will be only one value of slope for two given coordinate points.
