Solution :-

Given that,

→ 1 gallon = 4 litre .

and,

Joe's car can travel 36 miles per gallon of fuel.

So, we can say that,

→ in 4 litre of fuel car travel = 36 miles .

→ in 1 litre of fuel car travel = (36/4) = 9 miles .

we have to find distance for 10 litre of fuel.

Therefore,

→ in 10 litre of fuel car can travel = 9 * 10 = 90 miles .

Now, we know that,

→ 1 mile ≈ 1.6 km

Hence,

→ 90 miles = 1.6 * 90 ≈ 144 km. (Ans.)

∴ Joe's car can travel Approximately 144 km in 10 litres of fuel.
