Given:

$\frac{3 y+4}{2-6 y}=-\frac{2}{5}$

To find:

The value of y

Solution:

The Given equation is  

$\frac{3 y+4}{2-6 y}=-\frac{2}{5}$

On shifting the denominators to numerators, we get  

$5(3 y+4)=-2(2-6 y)$

Now, multiply 5 with $(3y+4)$ and -2 with $(2-6y)$,   we get,  

$15y+20= -4+12y$

Now, bring the y terms on left hand side and shift the constants on right hand side.

$15y-12y= -4-20$

$3y= -24$

$y=-\frac{24}{3}=-8$

Therefore, the value of y = $-8$
