a) On Sunday the electric meter reading taken was 42919.
b) On Monday the electric meter reading taken on Monday was 42935.
c) So, the amount of electricity used from Sunday to Monday can be calculated by subtracting the two meter readings ( 42935-42919) = 16 units.
d) The increase in 16 unit has occured in a day (24 hours), that is from Sunday 8 am to Monday 8 am.
e) For 1 unit, cost of electricity is Rs 5.
For 16 unit, cost of electricity is Rs 16×5 = Rs 80.
