To answer this question we need to create a Venn diagram. Draw 3 circles each representing a competition. We know 10 students participate in all competitions. We also know 15 participate in painting and drawing which include the 10 students participating in all 3 competitions thus
15-10=5 participate in only painting and drawing. We  know that 12 participate in drawing and craft making which include the 10 students participating in all 3 competitions thus
12-10=2 participate in only drawing and craft-making. 16 participate in craft making and painting which include the 10 students participating in all 3 competitions thus
16-10=6 participate in only craft-making and painting.
Now to calculate the students only performing one activity,

Painting : 22 - 10 - 5 - 6 = 1
Craft-making : 29 - 6 - 10 - 2 = 11
Drawing :  35 - 5 - 10 - 2 = 18

Now we have all the individual values of each class
Thus total number of students = 1+11+18+10+5+6+2=53
