The parts mentioned are (A)-vagina, (B)-ovary, (C)-fallopian tube and (D)-uterus.

  • The sperms enter into the cervix of a female through the vagina. It is one of the female accessory ducts which leads into the uterus. The outer extension of the vagina includes the external genitalia like the labia, hymen and clitoris.
  • The ovary is the primary female sex organ that produces the female gamete (ovum). There is one ovary on each side of the lower abdomen, attached to the pelvic wall and the uterus.
  • The fallopian tubes or oviducts are about 19-12cm long and connects the uterus to both ovaries. It is the site of fertilization of male and female gametes. It has 3 regions- the isthmus, the ampulla and the infundibulum.
  • The uterus is a single, pear-shaped structure, also called the 'womb'. The walls of the uterus are made of 3 layers of tissues- perimetrium, myometrium and endometrium. Implantation of the fertilized egg takes place in the endometrial wall.
