Now,

We have to find out the weight of the smaller portion:-

⇒ 35 : x = 5 : 2

⇒ $\frac{35}{x}$ = $\frac{5}{2}$

⇒ 35 × 2 = 5 × x

⇒ 5x = 70

⇒ x = $\frac{70}{5}$

⇒ x = 14
