Given : two coins. One is fair, and has a probability of coming up head = 0.5 and Bent coin  coming up heads of .75

To find : probability that at least one of the coins will come up tails if each coin tossed once

Solution:

P(H) Fair coin = 0.5

P(T) Fair Coin = 1 - 0.5 = 0.5

P(H) Bent Coin = 0.75

P(T) Bent Coin =  1 - 0.75  = 0.25

I toss each coin once,

probability that at least one of the coins will come up tails

= 1  - Both Head comes

= 1  -  (0.5)(0.75)

= 1  -  0.375

= 0.625

probability that at least one of the coins will come up tails = 0.625
