Surekha should see that all political parties and candidates are following the code of conduct during election campaign.

 No Candidate should:

1. bribe or threaten voters.

2.use government resources for election campaign.

3.appeal to them in the name of caste or religion.

4. spend more than  ₹ 25 lakh in a constituency Lok Sabha election or ₹ 10 lakh in a constituency for assembly election.

 

According to model code of conduct  in election campaign no party or candidate can:

1.Use any place of  worship for election propaganda.

2.Used government vehicles, aircraft and officials for elections.

3.One selection announce ministers shall not lay Foundation stones of any projects , take any big  policy decisions or make any Promises of providing public facilities.

On the polling day Surekha should supervise that polling take place peacefully. Voting should take place in a free and fair way. Voters should be identified properly. There should be no booth capturing. There should be one agent of each  candidate in the polling booth. She should make sure that after the polling is over all the EVMs are properly sealed and taken to a fixed place.

 

C) on the counting day seal of  the EVMs should be checked and EVMs should be opened. Each party should have an agent present at the location.

 Surekha should supervise the counting of votes and a candidate getting the highest votesvotes is declared elected.
