Answer:

The required answer is  930.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider that P starts out with no money. He just possesses the plant, which is valued at Rs350.

Cost Price $=\frac{350}{1.25}=$ rs280

$X$ gives Rs1000 to $P$ and $P$ gives that money to $Q$, in return for a bill for Rs1000.

Then he gives $X$ Rs650

$= > \mathrm{P}$ is left with Rs350

Q then requests his Rs1000 back. P contributes Rs350 but owes Rs650.

His whole loss therefore amounts to Rs650 plus Rs280 for the cost of the plant.

Therefore, the total loss $=650+280=$ Rs930
