The dimensions of the verandah floor:

∴ Area of the floor of Verandah = length × breadth = 9 × 7 = 63 m²

The dimensions of each tile:

Side = 25 cm = 0.25 m

∴ Area of the each tile = side² = 0.25² = 0.0625 m²

Now,

The required no. of tiles are given by,

= $\frac{Area \:of \:the \:floor\:of\:verandah}{Area \:of \:each\:tile}$

= $\frac{63\:m^2}{0.0625\:m^2}$

= $\bold{1008}$

Thus, I will need 1008 tiles to cover the entire floor of the verandah.
