Answer:

5.6603 %

Explanation:

The solution's mass is 106g

The mass of NaOH is 6g

therefore ,

percentage of NaOH= (6/106)×100

= 5.6603%

Given:-

  • Mass of Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH ) is 6.0g.

  • Mass of Water ( H₂O ) is 100g.

To Find:-

  • Mass percent of Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH ) in the solution.

Explanation:-

Here, Mass of Sodium Hydroxide is 6g that is solute.

Mass of Water is 100g that is solvent.

So, Total mass of Solution = Solvent + Solute

                                            = 100g + 6g

                                            = 106g

Now, Percent of Sodium hydroxide is

\bigg(\dfrac{\sf{Mass\ of\ Solute}}{\sf{Mass\ of\ Solution}} \times 100 \bigg)\%

\bigg(\dfrac{\sf{6\ g}}{\sf{106\ g}} \times \sf{100} \bigg)\%

\sf{5.66\ }\%

Hence, Percent of Sodium Hydroxide in the solution is  \huge\text{5.66\ }\% .
