Given :  A hexagon plot of 10 m side

To Find : how many equilateral triangle of side 10m are there in hexagonal plot

A. 2

B. 4

C. 6

D. 8

Solution:

Hexagon has 6 sides

Hence central Angle = 360°/6 = 60°

Hence 6 triangles are formed

Base of Each triangle = Side of Hexagon plot = 10 m

Central Angle = 60°

Two sides of triangle = Radius of Circumcircle of Hexagon plot

Hence remaining two angles are equal

Hence remaining two angles = 60°

So Each triangle is Equilateral

Hence there are 6 equilateral triangle of side 10m  in hexagonal plot

option C is correct

area of the hexagonal shaped plot = 6 * (√3 / 4) * 10²  = 150√3 m²

option B is correct

each side of equilateral triangular shaped tile is 2 m, then  the area of each tile = (√3 / 4) * 2²  = √3

Area of Each Tile = √3  m²

Number of tiles required  =  150√3 /√3  = 150

option A is correct
