Hi.

Here is your answer.

______________

a) Plants are the Primary Producers. Plants are the only living organisms on the Earth which makes there own foods and also they provides the life supportinv oxygen without which life is not possible on the Earth. If Plants disappears from the earth, then the Organism( especially Humans) will not get Oxygen,as a result of which Organisms or Humans will die. Thus , the existance of life will end on the Earth.

b) Answer--- Yes, If a Plant is releasing Carbon dioxide it means that no Photosynthesis is occurring.

Reason---When Photosynthesis occurs during the day, Carbon dioxide produced by the Plants during the day is all used in the Photosynthesis and thus Carbon dioxide is not released.
Similarly, some of the oxygen produced in Photosynthesis is used in Respiration and some of oxygen is released.
Thus, if a plant is giving Carbon dioxide and taking oxygen it means that no Photosynthesis is occurring.

Hope it helps.
