In both the stories, the doctors try their level best to save the lives struggling before them. The doctor in 'Birth' struggles all through the night to bring back the baby born dead to life. Similarly, in 'The Enemy' the doctor tries to cure the American even though he knows it would mean a treason to his nation. They both are serving according to their conscience towards the service to humanity.
