Since the bodies undergo same weight loss when immersed in water, the weight of the water displaced must be the same. A body immersed in water displaces the water equal to its volume. Therefore, the volume of the two bodies must be the same. We know that mass is Volume Multiplied by Density, therefore if the weight of the bodies have to be equal, their masses should be equal which is possible only if their densities are equal.
