On revolving the right angled  ⃤  ABC along the side 5 cm, we get a cone of radius(r)= 12 cm, height(h) 5 cm, and slant height(l) =13 cm will be formed.

Volume of solid so obtained(V1) =1/3 πr²h

= (1/3 × π × 12 × 12 × 5)

V1= 240π cm³

In the previous question , the volume V2 obtained by revolving ∆ABC about the side 12 cm.

V2 = 100π cm³

Ratio of the volumes =

V2/V1

=100π/240π

=10/24

=5/12 = 5:12

Hence, the required ratio is 5:12.
