VOLUME:
The space occupied by an object solid body is called the volume of the particular object solid body volume is always measured in cubic unit.
===========================================================
Given:
Depth of river (h) = 3 m
Width of river (b) = 40 m
Rate of flow of water (l) = 2 km
= 2000 m
[1 km= 1000 m]
Since,The water flows at the rate of 2 km/h, i.e the water of length 2 km flows into the sea in one hour.
Volume of water flowing into the sea in one hour
= lbh
= (2000× 40 × 3)
= 240000 m³
Hence, volume of water flowing into the sea in one minute= 240000/60= 4000 m³
[1 hour= 60 min]
