(a) Pivot joint is present between atlas and axis.
Pivot joint helps in the movement of neck.
They rotates on each other.
Atlas is the first bone.
Axis is the second bone.

(b) Saddle joint is present between carpal and metacarpal.
It is a synovial joint.
Provides stability to the bones.

(c) Hinge joint is present between phalanges.
It is synovial joint.
It helps the bone to move in one axis.

(d) Ball and socket joint is present between femur or acetabulum.
It allows movement in all the possible direction but upto a certain limit.

(e) Suture joint is present between cranial bones.
Sutures are fibrous joint.
They do not allow any movement.
These bones are fused end to end with the help of dense fibrous connective tissue.
