for solving inequation follow the below steps :
step1:- consider the inequation as a strict equation.
e.g y = -2

step2:- find point on the axes .
e.g. x = 0 and y = -2 , (0,-2)

step3:- plot the graph of y = -2 .

step4:- take a point (0,0) and put it in inequation, we get 0 < -2 which is false , hence shaded region of graph will be away from the origin(0,0)

hence, shaded region shows the graph of y<-2

Linear equation of given inequation y < - 2

Plot the graph of y = -2

Let a point (0,0) in first part and putting y = 0 in the given inequality , we can see that

0 < -2 which is false

Thus , the shaded region below the line y = -2 is the solution of given inequality including every points on the line
