he Received 2540 after the complete work

20×280=5600

5600 should be his income after the work,if he wasn't absent.

If he's absent= No cash for the day+60 Decrease

=means Rs 340 for a day if he's absent

From above details,we can conclude that he hasn't got the Rs 3060,as he was absent those days.

So,

3060÷340=9

therefore he was absent for 9 days
