Question
A non-metal A reacts with O2 on heating to form a chemical B, which is a gas we exhale. When B is dissolved in water, it forms an acid C.
a) Identify A, B and C.
b) How the non-metal A will react with water?

Answer:

1:- A=> Carbon.

B=> Carbon-dioxide.

C=> Carbonic acid.

2:- Non-metals don't usually react with water but the non-metal oxides do react with water and they produce acids. So, here carbon is not react with water but carbon-dioxide reacts with water to form carbonic acid.
