Answer:

= 25.50 m towards south-west

Step-by-step explanation:

As per question the data is given that,

A person start walking towards 10 m north direction,

then he turn right and walk 20 m ,

again he turn right and walk 35 m ahead,

now once again he turn to right and walk 25 m ahead.

So, as per figure that is depicted ,which make a right traingle .

whose perpendicular lenght =    25 m

and base = 5 m

And hypotenus is the shortest distance between initial and final position of the person.

So,

     H² = P² + B²

     H² = ( 25 )² + ( 5 )²

     H² = 625 + 25

     H² = 650

     H  = √650

     H  = 25.50 m

Threfore the distance between the initial and final position of the person is 25.50 m.

According to the figure, a right triangle is made after following the given data.

The perpendicular length of Right triangle formed =  25 m

base = 5 m

hypotenuse is the shortest distance between initial and final position of the person.

So,

H² = P² + B²

H² = ( 25 )² + ( 5 )²

H² = 625 + 25

H² = 650

H  = √650

H  = 25.50 m

∴ The person is 25.50 meters away from the starting position ( displacement) in the south-west direction.
