Question . A sound wave has a frequency of 2 kHz and wavelength 35cm. How long will it take to travel 1.5km?

Wavelength λ = 35cm = 0.35m

Frequency f = 2kHz = 2000Hz

Wave Velocity = fλ = 0.35 x 2000

= 700m/s

Time taken = distance / velocity

Time taken = 1500m / 700m/s

Time taken = 2.143s

The wave takes nearly 2.143s to travel 1.5km
