Given:

Radius (r)of cylindrical part = 3.5 cm

Radius (r)of hemispherical part = 3.5 cm

Height of cylindrical part= 10 cm

Surface area of article = CSA of cylindrical part + 2 × CSA of hemispherical part

= 2 πrh + 2 × 2 πr^2

= (2 π × 3.5 × 10) + (2 × 2 π × 3.5 × 3.5)

= 70 π + 49 π

= 119 π

= 119×22/7

= 17 × 22

= 374 cm^2

Hence the total surface area of the article 374 cm^2

Hope it helps you.!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of cylinder=10cm

Radius of cylinder=Radius of hemispherical part

scooped out=3.5/2 cm

So, TSA of the solid=CSA of cylinder+2(CSA of

hemisphere

= 2πrh+2(2πr^2)

=2πr(h+2r)

=2 × 22/7 × 3.5 (10 + 2(3.5))

=2 ×22× 0.5 (17)

=374 cm^2

So, TSA of solid is 374 cm^2
