4) Define Zygote.
Answers
Answer:
1.Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma. The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to create offspring for the next generation. One of the ways that plants can produce offspring is by making seeds.
2.The "male" or pollen-bearing part is called the stamen, and is composed of the filament and the anther. The "female" or seed-bearing part is called the pistil, and is composed of the ovary, the stigma, and the style. A flower may have exclusively male parts, exclusively female parts, or commonly, both.
3.The method of asexual reproduction found in fungus, moss and fern is spore formation. The parent plant releases spores into the air. These spores are covered by a protective coat to withstand unfavorable conditions.
4.a cell that starts the process of forming a baby person or animal, formed by the joining together of a male and a female gamete

Answer:
1. Pollination:
Pollination is the process by which pollen grains from an anther, the male portion of a flower, are transferred to a female part in the flower, known as the stigma.
There are two types of pollination, called self-pollination and cross-pollination. Self-pollination is the more basic type of pollination because it only involves one flower. This type of pollination occurs when pollen grains from the anther fall directly onto the stigma of the same flower.
2. The male reproductive parts and The female reproductive parts :
The male reproductive system includes the penis, scrotum, testes, epididymis, vas deferens, prostate, and seminal vesicles. The penis and the urethra are part of the urinary and reproductive systems.
The female reproductive system includes the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, vagina, vulva, mammary glands and breasts. These organs are involved in the production and transportation of gametes and the production of sex hormones.
3. Reproduction in Fungus and Moss:
Fungi reproduce asexually by fragmentation, budding, or producing spores. Fragments of hyphae can grow new colonies. Mycelial fragmentation occurs when a fungal mycelium separates into pieces with each component growing into a separate mycelium.
Mosses reproduce by spores, which are analogous to the flowering plant's seed; however, moss spores are single celled and more primitive than the seed. Spores are housed in the brown capsule that sits on the seta.
4. Zygote:
The cell formed by the union of a male sex cell (a sperm) and a female sex cell (an ovum). The zygote develops into the embryo following the instruction encoded in its genetic material, the DNA. The unification of a sperm and an ovum to form a zygote constitutes fertilization.
