1. We know very little about tribal societies and groups because: the tribal people did not keep written records. they preserved their customs and traditions orally. ... the tribal people lived in remote areas such as dense forests,hills,mountains,and deserts.

2. Members of each tribe had kinship bonds amongst them. Occupation of Tribes: Some of the tribes were engaged in agriculture for their livelihood. Others were hunter-gatherers or herders. Since agriculture was seasonal in nature, they made maximum use of the natural resources by often combining both these.

3. Rani Durgavati (October 5, 1524 – June 24, 1564) was a ruling Queen of Gondwana from 1550 until 1564. She was born in the family of famous Gond Tribals Chandel Emperor Keerat Rai. ... Rani moved her capital to Chauragarh in place of Singaurgarh. It was a fort of strategic importance situated on the Satpura hill range.
