Answer:
In his poem 'The Quiet Mind' the poet wants to say that the lord provide him with a quiet mind so that he is open to everyone's view and ideas, thoughts and perspectives.
He wants his voice to be sweet and gentle so that he always speak sweet and beautiful things so that he may not hurt anyone's feeling. He wants to distribute love and affection to the people though his voice.
He asks the lord to provide him with a good sense of direction, so that he do not get lost in his lost. He do not want to get distracted by the materiality of the world and wants the lord to help in making rightful choices in his life.
