Hey there!

It's obviously wrong that All bacteria are dangerous and harmful. There are some bacterias that are helpful to us and can be rightly referred as Friendly bacteria.

Some of the examples include :
Lactobacillus which helps in fermentation of Curd,

Rhizobium helps in the fixation of nitrogen in the soil.

And When it comes to curd,

The bacteria which is responsible for preparation of curd is Lactobacillus. It is a round shaped bacteria and can reproduce very quick.

If you add a spoon of curd to a mild hot milk, By morning you will get curd.

This is because of the bacteria reacting with casein present in milk.

We obtain many products like ghee , butter, cheese from it.

These products add good flavor to the food and helps to make a good taste.

Hence, The role of Lactobacillus is appreciable in making of curd.
