Why earth is termed as "mother earth''?
Ans: It is called as mother earth because the way mother protects her child and fulfills all its requirements and necessities for living , the same role is played by the earth,. Its the only planet with life upon it. It provides us with the natural resources that fulfills our basic needs.

What measures can be taken to protect mother earth?
Ans: There are several ways to do that. First the natural resources must be conserved and awareness must be given to the people for not wasting them. Deforestation  should be banned everywhere. The usage of plastics must be decreased.
