Akbar was an tolerant towards other religion .He also followed liberal religious policy . He abolished jaziya , pilgrimage tax. He appointed many Hindus to important military and civil position. In 1579 , akbar issued mahzarnama

Aurangzeb reintroduce the pilgrimage tax and jaziya . He initially appointed hindus at higher post but later on he ordered the appointment of Muslim officials only.
