PERMUTATIONS AND COMBINATIONS

In how many ways can a cricket team of 11 players be selected from 16 players:
1) If 2 particular players are always to be included?
2) If 1 particular player is to be excluded?
3) If 2 particular players are to be included and one particular player is to be rejected?

11 player can be selected out of 15 player .

So , 16C11 ways = 16!/11!*5! = 4368 ways of _ .

From Question (1) :- If two particular player always to be included , then se have to select 9 more player from 14

° Number of ways of selection is

14!/9!5! = 2002

then, number of ways of selection is ,

15C11 = 15!/11!*4!

=> 1365 Ways of selection .
