Question:
"Do you tell me (something/anything) about families?"

I thought "anything" was correct, because "any" is used in question. 
But "something" was the correct answer in the book.

Why was "something" correct?

anyone plz give me answers??

it means which is short and sweet.

Anything :: Anything mean any thing or things . it does not matter what.
