Estimating to nearest hundreds

= 400 + 400 = 800

(ii) - 982 + 198

Estimating to nearest hundreds

= 1000 + 200 = 1200

(iii) - 857 - 478

Estimating to nearest hundreds

= 900 - 500 = 400

(iv) - 7158 - 2329

Estimating to nearest hundreds

= 7200 - 2300 = 4900
