Length of BC= 10-3 cm =7 cm
length of CD = 8-2 cm = 6 cm
therefore, perimeter = AB+BC+CD+DE+EF+FA = 2+7+6+3+8+10= 36 cm.
extent CD to meet it on AF at point. T.
Therefore, area of rect. ABCT= L X B= 7 X 2 = 14 cm.
area of rect. TDEF = L X B = 8 X 3 = 24 cm
Total area of the figure = area of rect. ABCT = area of rect. TDEF
= 14 + 24 =38 cm sq.
