Let the missing number be y

10 - 2 = 8

20 - 10 = 10

32 - 20 = 12

46 - 32 = 14

As we can see that difference is getting incresed by 2 and hence

y - 46 = 16

y = 62

Answer:

OPTION A

Step-by-step explanation:

Grouping of terms

Let us group the given series in groups of 2 .

( 2,10 )

( 10,20 )

( 20,32 )

( 32,46 )

In every group the second term is greater than the first term .

Logic

The difference between the second term and the first term is increasing in an arithmetic progression .

10 - 2 = 8

20 - 10 = 10

32 - 20 = 12

46 - 32 = 14

Hence 8 , 10 , ... 14 is in A.P .

So the next term of the A.P will be 14 + 2 = 16 .

Add this with the last term :

The next term will be 46 + 16 = 62 .
