Given :

  • Height of Cylinder = 40inch
  • Diameter of Cylinder = 12inch

To Find :

  • Find the total surface area of cylinder ?

Solution :

Radius of the cylinder :

➣ Diameter = 2 × Radius

➣ 12 = 2 × Radius

➣ 12/2 = Radius

➣ 6 inch = Radius

Total surface Area of cylinder :

➣ TSA of cylinder = 2πr(h + r)

➣ TSA of cylinder = 2π × 6(40 + 6)

➣ TSA of cylinder = 2π × 6 × 46

➣ TSA of cylinder = 2π × 276

➣ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 276

➣ TSA of cylinder = 44/7 × 276

➣ TSA of cylinder = 44 × 276/7

➣ TSA of cylinder = 12144/7

➣ TSA of cylinder = 1734.85inches

Hence,

  • TSA of cylinder is 1734.85inches.
