Step-by-step explanation:

|x+4| - |x| = 4

we have to find values of x satisfying this equation

so lets check the value by putting in random values in equation

Assume x a positive real number, lets say x = 1

|1+4| - |1| = 4

5 - 1 = 4

4 = 4

hence it is satisfying the equation

Assume x a negative real number, lets say x = -1

|-1+4| - |-1| = 4

3-1 =4

2 = 4

this can't be true

hence its not satisfying

lets say x = 0

|0+4| - |0| = 4

4 = 4

it is satisfying the equation

so x can take values of positive real numbers including zero
