Ruskin Bond was born on 19th May 1934 in Kasauli. Soon after , he was send to study and live at a boarding school in Mussoorie. He completed his graduation from Bishop Cotton School in Shimla , Himachal Pradesh in 1950. Then he started writing stories and rapidly became famous. He is well known as an Indian Author of British Descent because of his English. His occupation was a poet and an author. He got inspiration for his stories from the life in the hill stations at the foothills of Himalayas and his maximum stories is set in that background. Some of his famous works include ' Our trees still grow in Dehra ' , ' A flight of Pigeons ' , The blue Umbrella ' , ' Seasons of Ghosts ' , ' Adventures of Rusty' and the autobiography of Lone Fox dancing.
