If you are given that there are 21 hens which Vinod have. But out of them 11 hens died. So, we have two cases.

1) How many alive hens are left with Vinod ?

So, the alive hens left with Vinod are :

⇒21 - 11

⇒10

If Vinod had 21 hens at all and out of 21,11 died.

So, It means the dead hens are currently present there along with alive hens.

So, no. of hens is 21 still.

Given:

➠ Vinod has twenty-one hens.

➠ Number of hens died is eleven.

Find:

➠ Let's find how many hens now left with Vinod.

Calculations:

➠ Total no.of eggs = 21

➠ No. of hens died = 11

➠ Total no.of eggs (-) No. of hens died

➠ (21 - 11) = 10

Therefore, according to the first case the number of hens alive are 10.

➠ Now looking how many hens he have = 21 totl, so out of 21 we found that 11 are dead and left = 10.

➠ This is a tricky question, this refers to remains the same.

➠ The number of dead hens are also included with the alive hens.

➠ Finally the number of hens left with Vinod are (11 - 10) = 21.
