a) Current drawn by the heater , I= P/V
4000/220 = 18.1 A
b) Resistance of the heater ,R =

c) Energy consumed in 2 hrs = P×t = 4 Kw× 2 hrs = 8 Kwh
d) Cost of energy if 1Kwh is priced at Rs. 4.60 = 8 × 4.60 = Rs. 36.8
