Solution :-

Centroid is a point where the three median of triangle intersects each other.

Coordinates of centroid of a triangle whose mid-points of vertices is given by the average of x and y coordinates.

Let's assume :

  • ( x1 , y1 ) = ( 3/2, 0 )
  • ( x2, y2 ) = ( 3/2,6 )
  • ( x3, y3 ) = ( -1, 6 )

So,

{ \leadsto \sf Centroid \: of \: \Delta = \left(\dfrac{x_1+x_2+x_3}{3},\dfrac{y_1+y_2+y_3}{3}\right)}

{ \leadsto \sf Centroid \: of \: \Delta = \left(\dfrac{ \dfrac{3}{2} + \dfrac{3}{2}  - 1}{3},\dfrac{0 + 6 + 6}{3}\right)}

{ \leadsto \sf Centroid \: of \: \Delta = \left(\dfrac{ 3 - 1}{3},\dfrac{12}{3}\right)}

 {\purple {\leadsto \sf Centroid \: of \: \Delta = \left(\dfrac{ 2}{3},4\right)}}

Hence these are the required coordinates of centroid of triangle.
