In the story, 'The Cop and The Anthem' Soapy is a person who is homeless, and he is willing to go to one of the most luxurious prisons to spend his winter season, for food, shelter and a cosy set up. Hence he tries various ways to go to prison. Yet, Soapy is a kind and a truthful man by heart. The attempts to get caught by the robber eventually gets dropped off, his good qualities come out, this is a pleasant node. Yet Soapy is not okay with this as he wants to get caught. Hence, Soapy attempts to this repeatedly but no chance of getting caught, so he turns back to his will and decide to be a good man and survive the winter. Hence he walks past a church in mindfulness. That time he is suspected for walking in drunk and is arrested for this careless act.
