The market described in the poem 'In the bazaars of Hyderabad' is a noisy and busy place. The imagery describes how all the senses become alive in the market! Vendors and shopkeepers sell all kinds of wares: from spices to garlands, from lentils to gold jewellery. These days, we see more superstores or malls in place of markets. In markets, there are proper shops with colourful lighting and advertisements. Also, it would be hard to come across magic potions in today's markets. the modern markets would be more crowded. But, the assault on the senses present in the bazaars of Hyderabad would be very similar to that experienced in today's markets.
