Given : eight people can stand on a square meter of a carpet,

To find : how many of them can stand in an elevator (lift) cab that is 2.5 meters by 1.5 meters and 2.2 meters high

Solution:

Lift size

2.5 m by 1.5 m

and height = 2.2 m

Height 2.2 m is sufficient enough for a person to enter in hit

Area of floor of lift = 2.5 x 1.5  m²

Person can stand in 1 m²  = 8

Person can stand in  2.5 x 1.5  m² = 8 x 2.5 x 1.5

= 20  x 1.5

= 30

30 People can stand in lift

option A is correct
