Given

  • Length of the cuboid = 4cm
  • Breadth of the cuboid = 3cm
  • Height of the cuboid = 2cm

To find

  • Each side of the cube.

Solution

  • Here, volume of cube and cuboid are equal because both shapes are made by smae quantity of material.

Volume(Cuboid) = l × b × h

→ Volume = 4 × 3 × 2

Volume = 24cm³

  • As we know

Volume (Cube) =

Volume of cuboid = Volume of cube

→ Volume of Cuboid = a³

→ 24 = a³

→ a = ³√24

a = 2√3cm

Hence,

  • Length of each side of the cube is 2√3cm.

Question:

  • If we melt a cuboid of dimensions 4cm × 3cm × 2cm into a Cube. What is the side of cube.

Given:

  • dimensions of the cuboid are 4cm × 3cm ×2cm.

To Find:

  • The side of the cube.!

Solution:

we,know the dimensions are 4cm × 3cm ×2cm.

so, volume of the cubiod = 24cm

_____________________

hence the cubiod is melted to form a cube so their volumes are the same.!

 \sf{ \red{ \underbrace{volume \: of \: a \: cube : side \times side \times side }}}

: \implies \tt 24 {cm}^{3}  =  {s}^{3} \:  \:  \:   \\  \\ : \implies  \tt \: side =  \sqrt[3]{24}  \\  \\ : \implies  \tt \: side = 2.88449914

hope this helps.!!
