Take two pieces of cinnamon bark.
Place one in water and other in open air.
Leave it for two days.
We observe that the two barks placed in water and air neither swell nor shrink.
Therefore bark cells are impervious to gases and water.

1) What are the different functions performed by plant tissues?
2) What are the different types of plant tissues present?

Qno2) In big trees dermal tissue forms many layers above the epidermis called as bark. Bark consists of dead cells and doesnt allow gases and water to pass through it. The experiment which I will perform to prove this is to take two cinnamon barks and placing in water and air. After some days, if we check the bark, we find that it doesnt change its size. So hence it is imperivious
