Answer:

ax+b=0

ax=-b

a=-b/a

So - b/a is the zero of the polynomial

x+3=0

x=-3

x-4=0

x=4

So - 3,4 are the zeros of polynomial

Hopes it helps and Mark as BRAINLIEST please

Answer:

(i). is zero ; (ii) are zeros

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) p(x) = ax + b at x = -\frac{b}{a}

p( -\frac{b}{a} ) = \frac{a}{1} × ( -\frac{b}{a} ) + b = - b + b = 0 ⇒ ( -\frac{b}{a} ) is a zero of given polynomial.

(ii) p(x) = (x + 3)(x - 4) at x = 4 and x = - 3

p(4) = (x + 3)(4 - 4) = (x + 3) × 0 = 0 ⇒ 4 is a zero of given polynomial.

p(- 3) = ( - 3 + 3)(x - 4) = 0 × (x - 4) = 0 ⇒ (- 3) is an another zero of p(x) = (x + 3)(x - 4)
