Given :

  • A body having mass 40kg started moving initially with rest and it takes a velocity of 20m/sec in time 4 seconds.

To find :

  • Find the value of force.

Solution :

As we know the formula to find the force exerted.

Force → ma

where,

m = mass of the body.

a = Acceleration.

We need to find out acceleration first.

By using first equation of motion :

  • ⠀⠀⠀⠀v = u + at

Here,

" v " = Final velocity of the body

" u " = Initial velocity of the body

" a " = Acceleration due to gravity

" t " = Time Taken

Substituting the values in the above equation.

⠀➹ v = u + at

⠀➹⠀20 = 0 + a(4)

⠀➹ ⠀20 = 4a

⠀➹⠀ 20/4 = a

⠀➹⠀ 5 = a

⠀➹⠀ a = 5 m/s²

Acceleration → 5 m/s²

Now, Simply applying formula to find the force :

Putting the values in the formula :

➹ F = ma

➹ F = 40 × 5

➹ F = 200

F = 200 N

Therefore,

200 Newton force is the required answer.

As we know the formula to find the force exerted.

Force → ma

where,

m = mass of the body.

a = Acceleration.

We need to find out acceleration first.

➝ v = u + at

➝⠀20 = 0 + a(4)

➝ ⠀20 = 4a

➝⠀ 20/4 = a

➝⠀ 5 = a

➝⠀ a = 5 m/s²

Acceleration → 5 m/s²

Now, Simply applying formula to find the force :

Putting the values in the formula :

→ F = ma

→ F = 40 × 5

→ F = 200

→ F = 200 N

Therefore,

Ans. 200N force.
